AAIS Rating and Insurance Forms Working Together with Policy Issuance and Accounting

Operate AAIS based commercial lines programs with AAIS rating, AAIS insurance forms issuance, and accounting aligned across the full policy lifecycle.

American Association of Insurance Services provides AAIS rating guidance, AAIS insurance forms, and policy frameworks that underpin many commercial lines programs. Selectsys delivers the operational layer that turns those standards into live programs with consistent execution across rating issuance and accounting.

What This Page Covers: AAIS Rating and Insurance Forms in Production

AAIS rating defines how premiums are calculated using AAIS manuals and rating guidance. AAIS insurance forms define how coverage is issued using standardized policy forms and endorsements.

Most implementations treat these as separate steps. Selectsys connects AAIS rating and AAIS insurance forms directly to policy issuance, endorsements, and accounting.

This page describes how those capabilities work together operationally for MGAs, wholesalers, program administrators, and carriers.

Most AAIS Implementations Stop at Rating and Forms

Many organizations successfully implement AAIS rating guidance but struggle to operationalize it.

Common gaps include:

  • Rating tools disconnected from policy issuance
  • AAIS insurance forms managed outside the rating workflow
  • Manual document generation and endorsements
  • Accounting systems not aligned with issued policies
  • Limited visibility across the policy lifecycle
  • Increased operational risk and rework

Rating alone does not operate a program.

A Unified Capability Not Separate Systems

Selectsys delivers AAIS rating policy issuance and accounting as a single operating capability.

  • Rating drives issuance automatically
  • AAIS insurance forms issued directly from rating outputs
  • Forms, endorsements, and accounting remain synchronized
  • Issuance feeds accounting without rekeying
  • Endorsements flow across all stages
  • Accounting visibility is tied directly to issued policies
  • Reporting reflects actual policy activity

This alignment reduces errors improves speed and supports scale.
